Why do we shy away from rising up? Why do we like to stay in our comfort zone? What is the key to dreaming big and seeing all our hopes come to life? Today Sunit talks about what it means to stay small, why we stay small, and why it's important to dream big. She also talks about what dreaming big really means and what it requires. If you have ever found yourself wishing you could make your daydreams a reality, you may first need to establish what or WHO has held you back from doing so. Once you understand that your brain prefers to be comfortable, and that those naysayers NEED you to stay small to feel good about themselves, you can then move forward with confidence that you are on the right path!

This week, Sunit dives into the differences between spirituality and religion and answers the question, can you be both spiritual and religious? She also talks about what we lose out on when we say we are only spiritual. We might be connecting in deeper with ourselves, but how are we connecting in with our like minded tribe and community? We have access to more luxuries and advancements than ever before in life, and more than ever, many people are identifying with spirituality and a need to connect deeper to themselves, so why then are we unhappier than we have ever been? In this episode, Sunit talks about what guides us as we move through life. She discusses the fact that much of how we operate is dependent on how we are programmed from day 1. Our programming comes from our parents, our surroundings, our culture, our society, our education..etc. We are taught our belief systems and we don't question anything because we don't have the capacity to question as babies. But these things eventually dictate our belief system, which becomes our values. These things eventually trickle down into limiting beliefs, which are the beliefs we have that can hold us back. She discusses some of the most commonly held beliefs today, and encourages us to think about where they come from and why we believe them. She talks about objectively questioning cultural and societal beliefs, as well as commonly held thoughts like:

Traditional Schooling and University

Our thoughts and beliefs around retirement and saving for retirement 

Winning is good and better than losing (everyone is a winner)

We shouldn't hurt other people's feelings

Being happy is always the goal

Sunit shares how she plans out her year, then drills down to the months, weeks and days. She shares how to assess how last year went so that you can do more of what worked, and fix what didn't. She encourages you to establish more boundaries, and say no to what doesn't serve you. She explains how to plan ahead and take a little extra time up front to save yourself headache and time.
