Today's episode is for anyone who has been toying with the idea of homeschooling their child. With the current climate being the way it is, and unceratinty of what the future looks like, many of us are re-considering what the future looks like for us and our families. As parts of Canada and the US begin to open up, there are questions around what school will look like for our kids. Many of us are not comfortable sending our children back for various reasons, but we also feel overwhelmed with the idea of becoming homeschool moms! Today Sunit interviews Kaleena Amuchastegui. She is the author of "the 5 hour school week" book and supports homeschool parents and those thinking about homeschool. They talk about: how and why to get started, what resources and curriculums to use on your homeschool journey, and how to handle the judgements and expectations of others. Sometimes it is simply a sig that you have outgrown people, and it is ok to let those relationships go. But sometimes, you cannot. You need to accept people where they are and know that you will still love them no matter what. Sunit shares her own experiences at this time and how she is navigating this very lonely time in her life.
